Organically-cultivated goblet-pruned vines spread over a number of small plots of land. They grow at between 450 and 550 metres above sea level in the stony soil of the foothills with its characteristic limestone, loam and clay.<\/p>\n

The unique genetic diversity of the mature Garnacha vines makes them a treasured part of our heritage that has to be protected.
This diversity is the result of the plant selection made by those who came before us.
They weren\u2019t clonally propagated, but rather a range of hundreds of plants were chosen, creating great intraspecies diversity \u2013 the Garnacha variety was in itself diverse, in other words. In order to ensure that each plot of Garnacha vines was well balanced, the farmers of yesteryear planted a series of random varieties in small proportion. These were minor grape varieties which in some cases were in danger of extinction and with which people would try to use in wine production, sooner or later, including Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Roya, Desgranadera, Viura, Pasera, Vidau de Barillas, Garzuela, Morate and Beltza.<\/p>\n
